Utilities

Palmetto builds and installs all types of sewer, storm and water systems and potable and fire service water systems. Palmetto has three dedicated utility crews performing more than $8 million per year in on-going utilities construction volume. Additionally, Palmetto identifies and recognizes the necessity for sedimentation control and abides by all applicable EPA ratings on utility installation and use.

Grading

The key to a successful grading project is good equipment and skilled operators. Palmetto’s equipment availability, combined with the years of experience of their operators, ensures an efficient operation and timely completion of all jobs. Palmetto is experienced in high volume grading jobs involving the import, export and on-site movement of hundreds of thousands of cubic yards of dirt in addition to the typical clearing, grubbing and grading.

Paving & Site Concrete

Palmetto has successfully completed millions of dollars worth of paving and site concrete projects. By owning all of their own paving equipment and with function-specialized crews, Palmetto can provide the most specialized and highest quality concrete and asphalt work for all types of site work development.

Surveying

A key element to be able to perform accurate and timely site construction is a knowledgeable surveying staff with access to modern equipment. Palmetto employs a survey team overseen by a full-time, licensed surveyor. Palmetto’s team also includes two full-time survey crews who ensure accuracy in the field, and all of Palmetto’s equipment has state-of-the-art positioning systems to guarantee grade accuracy during the grading process with or without a surveyor present.

Sealcoating & Striping

In addition to paving and concrete work, additional asphalt services offered include sealcoating, crack repair and parking lot striping. Sealcoating is a process that extends the life of asphalt pavement through protection against harmful effects of oxidation and chemical spills. Palmetto has a dedicated sealcoating and striping supervisor and skilled crew, whose primary functions are the repair, maintenance and refurbishment of existing asphalt surfaces.
